A Clinical Study on 20 cases of Primary Vaginal Carcinoma

Abstract
From January 1986 until December 1994, we performed investigative clinical studies on 20 cases of primary vaginal carcinoma which comfirmed histopathologically.
@ES The results were as followings.
@EN 1. Age ranged from 30 to 70 years and the great incidence occured in 50-59 years group.
2. The most frequent histologic type is squamous cell carcinoma which was observed in 17 cases(85%), the next adenocarcinoma in 2 cases(10%), and adenosquamous cell carcinoma in 1 case(5%), respectively.
3. The most frequent chief complaint was vaginal bleeding in 16 cases (80%), and others are plapable mass in 2 cases (10%), pelvic pain in 1 case(5%), vaginal dischage in 1 case (5%), respectively.
4. The incidence of location of vaginal lesion is greatest in upper one third (60).
5. The 3-year survival rate is 100% in stage, 1, 37% in stage II, 50% in stage III, 0% in stage IV.
